Are you what you eat: A short description of the diets that can support the health and the environment

Did you eat reflect your attitude? Is eating to preserve your body, your wallet, or your world? Do you have enough energy to think about it? With so many diets that claim to be the best way to have energy, health and welfare, while saving the planet, which is a conscious consumer to choose?

Here is a brief summary of some of them:

Vegetarian: A vegetarian is someone who does not eat meat, either for health reasons, reasons of ethics in terms of believing that animals should not be slaughtered for consumption or that inhumane practices used to raise and slaughter animals, or for environmental reasons, such as animal husbandry is significantly depleting our natural resources. Many types of 'variations on vegetarians.

"Most vegetarians eat dairy products, eggs, and many eat. Lacto-vegetarianism includes dairy products but excludes eggs, ovo-vegetarian includes eggs but not dairy, and ovo-lacto-vegetarian including eggs and products milk. A macrobiotic diet consists of evaluating the yin and yang of energy of each food, and finding a harmonious balance in the body. The diet is based on consuming grains, certain vegetables and beans, but many other foods are allowed in moderation. Proponents also follow a certain way of consumption includes chewing each mouthful thoroughly to ensure proper digestion and control of portion sizes. As an added bonus, "Macrobiotics has long been advocated by some as a prevention and cure of cancer." 3

Reduced calorie: Having won the acclaim of the recent coverage on Oprah, people after a caloric reduction have traditionally started eating these low-calorie, high-energy diets to lose weight. However, calorie diet s reduction says that possibly the only diet is likely to enable humans to live 50% more lifetimes to more than 100 years old. A diet consisting to consume less than 2000 calories per day in a highly managed style that covers a lot of natural foods and foods to maximize nutrients and energy potential Compact portions with few calories, has a lot of counting and weighing, but it seems very impressive offering compensation. Moreover, as far as I know, all the Whole Foods tries to let you return anything to these departments, if you are unsatisfied for any reason. Sometimes you get what you pay and occasional offers, great selection, and friendly, the staff of Whole Foods is worth a visit.

Trader Joe's: Trader Joe's is a fantastic start for gourmet pantry natural collectors at great prices. While TJ's can offer the best deals on all-around, the wise buyer will be demanding here. Produce tends to be overly packaged, thereby creating more waste, and without nearly the selection of Whole Foods or farmers markets.

Dekalb farmers market: For independent buyers willing to explore, this location may be a mecca. This is a year, the internal market with a large store of global products, some in promotions. That said, you have to deliver their cloth bags before shopping, the area can be a bit cumbersome and industrial and the agent may not be very helpful in terms of knowing where to find products outside their immediate area.

Sevananda natural foods: Sevananda step in and be on the lookout for girls with flowers and Birkenstocks. This shop feels like the real deal "a step backwards in a time when ingredients were pure and simple.
