About VIN

Volunteers Initiative Nepal (VIN) is a non- government and non-profit organization (NGO) founded by a group of development workers, educationists, lawyers, social activists and experts in cultural tourism, former volunteers and other professionals. The organization was officially registered with the Law Society of the District Administration Office Kathmandu, Nepal (No.147/062/63 Reg.) This has also been affiliated to Social Welfare Council (SWC) (No. 20 910 of affiliation) Nepal. VIN has been a good forum for professionals and professional development.

Our Mission

Our mission is to empower marginalized communities, with special attention to women and children through programs to improve education and training of the entire community to achieve democracy and increase productivity economic.

Objectives

Education, health and the environment are fundamental requirements of any country to develop. VIN therefore aims to promote quality education, health and the environment in schools and communities conducting various activities independently and / or related organizations in partnership.

* Provide a platform for children to explore their innate talents through establishment of Clubs for children in schools.
* Raise awareness of the need for English language and to facilitate the teaching of English learning environment in schools.
* Educate and work with communities in relation to the environment, health and sanitation issues.
* Provide training and workshops for youth in the community to develop life skills in them and create opportunities for self employment.
* Provide language lessons and cultural information for people who come to Nepal to study, research and volunteer
* To introduce volunteers to the richness of Nepali culture and ensure a safe and pleasant stay in a supportive environment.
* Support families and children suffered from armed conflict providing them basic needs like food, housing and education.
* Encourage skilled professionals such as doctors, engineers, teachers, lawyers, entrepreneurs to allocate part of their valuable time to volunteer for the service of the population poor and marginalized of society.
* Provide education for children Sponsored very poor and marginalized families.
* Support to establish Community Facilities Learning (CLC) to provide learning platforms to eliminate illiteracy and develop the skills of the people in the community.
* Provide expertise basic hygiene for the poorest in Nepal.
* Raise awareness of young people and HIV / AIDS, Girl Trafficking and to mobilize them in the campaign.
* Equip schools and the community with basic physical infrastructure.

Volunteer Programs

From its inception in 2005, VIN has provided more affordable (5% discount for those who book six months before the start of their volunteering) Nepal volunteering opportunities in different sectors. VIN has been mobilizing international and local volunteers in various programs providing essential trainings and counseling, which contribute significantly to the development of the poor and marginalized communities for sustainable development in Nepal.

VIN has deployed its volunteers in Nepal Volunteer Program in t eaching in schools, teacher development, health and sanitation, child and youth development, teaching English in monasteries, language and culture environment and community education, teaching computer science, construction and other support materials, work in orphanages and rehabilitation centers, cultural exchange and stay home, and entrepreneurship. Through our international alliances, we work together to help local communities meet the needs of some of the objectives of the United Nations Millennium Declaration.

VIN offers a voluntary Offord opportunity for those who want to enjoy the beauty and tremendous treckking Himalayas. They will experience the great nature, distinct culture and lifestyle in one of the most beautiful country in the world. Its volunteer programs are at the foot of beautiful valleys and villages across Nepal, where volunteers contribute to community development Nepalese and enjoy a unique opportunity to travel, adventure and exploration. VIN could be your best help for voluntary work in Nepal. We have our own projects set for summer volunteers.
