Travel Leisure Elite Traveler
Do you know the history of luxury travel?
The luxury travel market is larger until the day before on. The increasing wealth in the decade 1990 and 2000 has largely reversed the market and no end in sight.
The recent economic climate has increased the wealth and purchasing power of many reflected in the arrival of luxury brands like Gucci, Vertu, Louis Vuitton and Lacoste. While Viet Nam's economy strengthens, the tourism industry is inevitably expanding their own horizons. Once considered a backpacker destination, Vietnam is now attracting a different type of tourism growth high - options for the final.
Golfing holidays have developed rapidly over the past two years, with fourteen existing golf courses from north to south and more in development. Spa, wine and food, beach vacation, family travel, cruises, honeymoon and romance are becoming favorites for the discerning traveler. Historically, travel has been synonymous with luxury. Travel for the sake of curiosity and fun was the domain of the rich. The average family rarely ventured beyond their own people. How things have changed!
Thomas Cook began what is arguably the first modern travel agency in the 19th century, the cruise ticket to leisure travel. Viet Nam is experienced first luxury travel experience to the early 19th century with the arrival of the steamer Emeraude. Cruise the caves of Ha Long Bay, for the most part, Emeraude rich French service travelers visiting Indochina and beyond.
This type of travel was only available for a small percentage of population. In fact, real luxury travel as we think now, was only for the very elite until 1950, when business travel is becoming more common and popular. Initially, Most business travelers went by land. The advent of air travel made the world smaller, allowing people to travel farther and faster. This style of transport, however, still expensive, exotic and dangerous.
These days, the whole idea of luxury has gone to another level. What was considered "luxury" only a few years before is now available to a much larger portion of the population. Branded hotels, cruise lines, international resorts and luxury travel companies are constantly creating new products to meet the demand for travel disceming. Tourism Authority of Viet Nam should focus on market segment, the amount each tourist spends, rather than just the number of tourists traveling in Vietnam.
According to Mr. Pham. Viet Nam, CEO of luxury travel, "The Tourism Authority of Viet Nam, think outside the box and leave the image crisis on Viet Nam as a destination, but should seek to promote an image of luxury in this country. "
Viet Nam's first luxury tour company commenced operations in 2004 to satisfy the growing number of luxury travelers coming to the country for leisure and business. "We just returned from our wonderful trip 15 days in Viet Nam and Cambodia Luxury Travel organized by Viet Nam, "said Pamela Solvang, Shark TV, Texas, USA." We have used the best luxury travel companies in the U.S. and another where and can attest that Luxury Travel Vietnam provides excellent services! "
