Imagine this - You're standing in the desert. The floor is all saguaro and shrubs. The rocks and hills rise around you, some rocky outcrops is well above the head. And in the distance you can see the valleys stretch to the horizon where the mountains stand gray shadows, making a dim outline in the cloudless sky.
This is the view from the heart of Tucson Mountain Park. Located west of Tucson, Arizona, has an impressive 20,000 hectares of the Sonoran Desert, full of majestic views of mountains and desert saguaro forests. saguaro park's forest is considered the best in the world, and watching the sunset from its foothills is impressive.
Before getting to the heart of the park, you have to walk a little ways. Many visitors are surprised to find the walk in the park is one of the best parts. The path leading through Gates Pass, where winds and meanders, and offer the best landscapes are likely to see throughout the state of Arizona.
If you're not the height of the walk, or, if you want to enjoy the scenery from the luxury of your trailer, you're still in luck. There is a scenic route that takes you through Gates Pass and right along the edge of the park. There, you'll see all the amazing scenery, and you can also stop at the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, which is full exhibition on the unique saguaro desert climate. There is also a series of short walks, picnic and camping areas.
For a real adventure in Tucson Mountain Park, take your mountain bike. The area is known throughout the country for more than 30 routes spectacular mountain bike, which vary in length and difficulty. Some parts of the park are flat and sandy, while other areas have some more steep hills and vegetation.
The good news is that Tucson is near caravan sites full of great atmosphere. Because it is one of the number one motor home destinations in the country, you can find plenty of places to stay. These are only few places to visit.
- Voyager RV Resort - This is a great, friendly RV camping with more than 1,500 people. They have swimming pools and plenty of fun for the family to enjoy during your stay, and prices range from $ 25 to $ 40, with discounts for longer stays available.
- Adventure Bound Camping Resorts - This camp RV business with 250 connections, trying every effort to live up to its name. They have a series of fun activities and are located a bit off the beaten path.
- Valley of the Sun Mobile Home and RV Park - This site is located in the suburb of Marana, and gives a little peace and quiet more than the other parts of motor homes. This is a nice park, clean, with full hook-ups, access to activities, and very desert landscape. Offer rates at a day and offers long-term stay.
